THREE MONKS

In last class Dr Mandi gave us the opportunity to learn the basics of Team work in his unique style of learning. Sometimes great messages can be conveyed in a very simple way, but here I got the lesson in a funny way by watching the video of 3 Monks and don't forget the lead role of "Water".

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK68Vtkj6SE&feature=related

CASE 1- ONE MONK WAS THERE.

As you see , when one Monk was there , he was doing his assigned task on regular basis on time. he was full  of enthusiasm and loving his work. This is called effective and efficient use of resources to be precise say Human resources. This was the real Excellence which we discussed in the first blog. But after sometime monk lacks his enthusiasm there was no energy or force by which he was doing his work in earlier days but still doing his work. To overcome this one should keep them motivated.

CASE 2- TWO MONKS WERE THERE.

In starting both were happy , 1st monk welcomed the other monk and showed hospitality and they divided the work. For few days both were doing their work on time with responsibility but after sometime the 1st monk started showing dominance which in turn created the differences between the two, which led to lower productivity or no productivity in this case . No one is ready to fetch the water. Then the solution comes and both go to fetch water and while returning the same thing happens . They tried shifting the load (work load) on each other and finally they divided the work equally.

CASE 3 - THREE MONKS WERE THERE.

when the two monks finally settled for the solution then comes the other monk carrying more problems instead of carrying water. At the moment he entered problem for water arises like a balloon with helium gas and they all started fighting the previous two were showing their dominance over the new one and there was no proper division of work. When you start depending on others for each work then you always have to end up with nothing in your hands as in this case they left without water. So it is always better to divide the work and work as a team and always look for invention in their work. By this way you can be effective and efficient in whatever work you are doing, in short this is the way to achieve Excellence.

CASE 4 - FIRE IN THE HUT.

when the fire struck to their hut suddenly we saw a team started working as there were no dispute at all among them. They found their strong areas as like the fast runner keep carrying water and other two throwing water to stop the fire . the bond was built between them and it was looking like a healthier competition as every one was willing to put their best efforts and this way the hunger to achieve excellence was developed and this always create the creative ideas. As finally in the end they set up a pulley system which is more effective to carry water without putting much labor work.

INTERPRETATION

the first thing i learned from above 3 cases the most important thing is the team building and as we all are of same kind but with different qualities so it does not meat that you show superiority on the other fellow. At every moment we can learn from others as and distribute the work according to their strong areas. Everyone in a team is of different kind some are good in one thing and bad in other one. So we should never focus on the flaws of a person rather try to find out in what areas he is good at.

Once you know the strength of your team members then you can effectively layout the work distribution plan as we all know what does a TEAM mean ( TOGETHER  EVERYONE  ACHIEVES  MORE).

This way there will always a good healthy environment among the team members and bonds will be built and they all start working towards a common goal and this always led to creativity in their respective work. They can achieve the goal easily and in lesser time and more over there is satisfaction for every team member that everyone did the hell of a work to make things work.

NOW THIS WHAT WE CALL EXCELLENCE..
Individually we are one drop, Together we are an Ocean.
